T2Fit FAQ’s
What if I haven’t trained in years?
Not an issue – our programme is designed to meet you where you are. We’ve helped hundreds of men get back into training safely and effectively, no matter their starting point.
Do I need to be available at specific times?
We offer both morning and evening sessions throughout the week. Most members train 3x/week, choosing times that work around their schedule.
What makes this different from regular PT?
Beyond the obvious cost advantage, our small group format (max 6) creates natural competition and camaraderie while maintaining personalised coaching. It’s the perfect blend of motivation and expertise.
But is this just another gym membership?
Not at all. This is a complete coaching programme with structured progression, nutrition guidance, and real accountability. We’re deeply invested in your results.
Personal Training FAQ’s
How much does a personal trainer cost in Coulsdon or Purley?
A typical 1:1 personal trainer locally charges by the hour, and the costs climb quickly if you train more than once a week. T2FIT works differently: you start with our 21-Day Trial, which includes four coached sessions a week, your body scan and your consultation, so you experience three full weeks of personal training before committing to anything longe
I’ve never trained before. Will I keep up?
Yes. We welcome all ages and ability levels, and many of our members walked in with no gym experience at all. Your coach adapts every movement to your level, and you’re never left to figure things out alone.
When do sessions run?
On the hour, every hour, from 6am on weekdays at both gyms, with Saturday morning sessions too. You book the times that fit your week through our app
Is there a T2FIT gym near Caterham?
Yes, our Coulsdon gym is a short drive from Caterham, and plenty of our members make that trip every week from CR3. It’s the closest place to get coached personal training rather than a leisure centre gym floor.
IS THERE A T2FIT IN South Croydon?
Our Purley gym at the Royal Oak Centre is minutes from South Croydon, with free parking on site. A large share of our Purley members travel from South Croydon and Sanderstead.
What if I have an injury?
Tell your coach and we’ll work around it. Your coach knows your injuries as well as your goals; we’ll adjust movements or build in corrective exercises so you keep progressing safely.
Personal Training for Men FAQ’s
I’ve already got a gym membership I barely use.
How is T2FIT different?
A normal gym sells you access: a fob, a floor plan and good luck. T2FIT sells coaching. Every session is programmed in advance, delivered by an expert coach who corrects your form and adjusts your programme when something isn’t working. You never walk in wondering what to do, and you’re never left to figure it out alone.
I’m over 40 and haven’t trained properly in years.
Is this right for me?
Yes, and you’re the rule rather than the exception. Most men who join T2FIT are returning after a long break, carrying an old injury or starting from scratch. Your body scan and movement screening mean your programme begins where you actually are, with no expectation that you arrive fit.
I’ve got no time. How does training fit around work and family?
Sessions are 50 minutes and run on the hour, every hour, from 6am on weekdays at both gyms, with Saturday mornings too. You book through our app, so training fits your week rather than the other way round. Most members treat sessions like a work meeting: scheduled, non-negotiable and done before the day gets away from them.
Where can I find a personal trainer for men in Coulsdon or Purley?

Personal Training for Women FAQ’s
I haven’t set foot in a gym in years. Will I feel out of place?
No, and you’d be in the majority. Most of our members arrived apprehensive, and our reviews say the same things over and over: welcomed by name, zero gym ego, no scariness here. Your coach adapts every movement to your level, and every level trains side by side.
Will lifting weights make me bulky?
No. Strength training builds lean muscle, which is exactly what improves body composition: body fat down, strength and shape up. Your programme balances strength, cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance and mobility, and your scans show you precisely what’s changing.
I’m in my 40s or 50s. Is strength training right for me now?
It’s one of the best things you can do, and women 45 and over are one of the groups we coach most. Your programme starts from your own scan and movement screening, so it meets your body where it is. If you’re navigating perimenopause or menopause, our menopause ebook explains how we approach training through that stage.
Where can I find a personal trainer for women in Coulsdon or Purley?
T2FIT has two gyms: Coulsdon at 372 Coulsdon Road, CR5, and Purley at the Royal Oak Centre on Brighton Road. Both locations include free parking on site. Members travel from Old Coulsdon, Chipstead, Kenley, Whyteleafe, Banstead, Sanderstead, Riddlesdown and Wallington for coached training they can’t get closer to home.
What does personal training for women at T2FIT look like?
We deliver personal training through small group sessions: one expert coach, no more than 6 members, 50 minutes. You get a programme built around your goals and a coach watching every rep, in a group where showing up gets easier every week. You can read how the model works on our Small Group Personal Training page.
Is it too late to start strength training?
No. Plenty of our members lifted their first barbell in their 50s or 60s, and strength responds to good training at any age. Your programme starts from your own body scan and movement screening, so day one is built for the body you bring, never the one a programme assumes.
I’m worried about injuring myself. How do you keep training safe?
Safety is the reason everything here is coached. Your movement screening flags what to work around before you start, your coach watches every rep and corrects form as you go, and weights progress gradually as your technique earns it. Our reviews mention safety unprompted more than almost anything else.
I’ve tried classes and cardio for years and the results have stalled. Why would this work?
Because it’s a different tool. Classes give you a workout; a programme gives you progression, and from the mid-40s progressive strength work is what moves body composition. Your coach tracks your numbers from session to session, so each week builds on the last instead of starting again.
Can you support me through perimenopause or menopause?
Yes. Many of our members train through exactly that stage, and our coaches programme around fluctuating energy, joints and recovery. We’ve written about our approach in full on our menopause fitness page.
I’d be coming on my own. Will I fit in?
Most members arrived on their own, and plenty arrived nervous. Your group is never bigger than 6, the coaches make the introductions, and the women training beside you include teachers, mums, professionals and grandmothers from Coulsdon, Purley and the towns around them. It feels like a family is the phrase our reviews keep using.
Coulsdon FAQ’s
Where is T2FIT Coulsdon?
T2FIT Coulsdon is at 372 Coulsdon Road, Coulsdon CR5 1EF, a short drive from Coulsdon town centre, Old Coulsdon, Chipstead, Kenley and Whyteleafe. Doors open from 6am on weekdays. Free parking is available at the gym.
I’m looking for a personal trainer in Coulsdon. Is T2FIT the right fit?
If you want the structure of personal training with better value and more energy, yes. T2FIT doesn’t offer 1:1 sessions. Every member trains in a coached group of no more than six, with a programme built around their goals and a coach who tracks every session. You get the rigour of a personal trainer in Coulsdon, with a community behind you.
What makes T2FIT different from other gyms in Coulsdon?
Most gyms sell access to equipment and leave you to it. T2FIT replaces guesswork with structure. You start with a 3D body scan and movement screening, your coach builds a progressive programme from that data, and follow-up scans measure what changed. Since 2017, over 2,000 local clients in Coulsdon and Purley have trained with us, and we were named Regional Gym of the Year (South) in 2025.
Do I need experience to train at T2FIT Coulsdon?
No. Most of our members arrived with little or no recent training experience, and plenty hadn’t set foot in a gym for years. Your programme starts from where you are, your coach teaches every movement, and the group will be glad you came. As one member put it, no scariness here.
How do I get started?
Start with the 21-Day Trial for £249. You begin with a 3D body scan, movement screening and goal-setting consultation, then train four times a week: three coached small group sessions plus one conditioning session. At the halfway mark you sit down with your coach for your Two-Week Progress Acceleration Session, and you finish with a personalised long-term plan. Not a challenge, not a quick fix; a proven starting point for long-term results.
Purley FAQ’s
Where is T2FIT Purley?
T2FIT Purley is at Unit 16-17, Royal Oak Centre, Brighton Road, Purley CR8 2PG, on the A23 just south of Purley Cross. There’s free parking at the centre, and we’re a short drive from Riddlesdown, Kenley, Sanderstead, Wallington and Selsdon.
I’m looking for a personal trainer in Purley. Is T2FIT the right fit?
If what you’re after is the attention and structure of personal training, yes, with one difference: T2FIT doesn’t offer 1:1 sessions. You train in a coached group capped at six, your coach builds and progresses your programme, and the group gives you the energy and accountability a solo session never can. That’s what a personal trainer in Purley looks like at T2FIT.
What makes T2FIT different from other gyms in Purley?
Other gyms hand you a fob and wish you luck. At T2FIT, structure does the heavy lifting: a 3D body scan and movement screening first, a progressive programme built from that data, and follow-up scans that show exactly what changed. Over 2,000 local clients in Coulsdon and Purley have trained with us since 2017, and T2FIT was named Regional Gym of the Year (South) in 2025.
Do I need experience to train at T2FIT Purley?
Not at all. Plenty of our members hadn’t trained for years before joining, and some had never lifted a weight. Your coach teaches every movement from scratch, your programme matches your starting point, and the small group format means you’re never left to work it out alone.
How do I get started at T2FIT Purley?
The 21-Day Trial is the way in, for £249. It starts with a 3D body scan, movement screening and a goal-setting consultation, followed by four sessions a week: three coached small group sessions plus one conditioning session. Halfway through, your Two-Week Progress Acceleration Session reviews what’s working, and you finish with a personalised long-term plan. It’s not a challenge or a quick fix; it’s a proven starting point for long-term results.
21 Day Trial FAQ’s
How does the trial work?
It works out at just under £21 a session. The trial runs for 21 days at a one-off £249, four sessions a week across three weeks, with no contract and no obligation to continue. Before you train, you’ll have a 3D body scan, a movement screen and a goal-setting consultation. Then you train four times a week: 3 Small Group Personal Training sessions and 1 large group conditioning session.
At the halfway mark you’ll review your progress with your coach in your Two-Week Progress Acceleration Session, and you’ll finish with a personalised long-term plan, so you leave knowing exactly what’s next.
I’ve tried gyms before and never stuck at it. Why would this be any different?
Most people who come to us haven’t failed at fitness; nothing ever truly fit around their life. T2FIT works because the structure is done for you.
Every session is planned and coached, your progress is measured against your first body scan, and you train with people who notice when you’re not there.
Since 2017, over 2,000 local people in Coulsdon and Purley have found that’s the difference.
I’m not fit enough to start yet.
It’s the most common worry we hear, and it’s never once been true. Members join T2FIT at every starting point: some haven’t trained in years, some have never set foot in a gym, some carry old injuries. Your coach adapts every movement to where you are now, and your body scan tells us exactly where that is. You don’t need to be fit to start. Starting is how you get fit.
I’m worried I’ll feel out of place or hold everyone else back.
Sessions are capped at 6, everyone works to their own programme and their own level, and nobody is racing anybody. Our members say it better than we can. In their Google reviews: “zero gym ego and attitude”, “no scariness here”, “from the moment you walk through the door, you’re welcomed by name”. Most new members stop worrying about this in their first session.
I haven’t got enough time to commit to a gym.
Sessions are 50 minutes and run on the hour, every hour, so there’s nearly always one that fits your day. You book in advance through the app, around work, family and everything else. Time usually isn’t the real problem; the plan is. Once a session is booked and a coach is expecting you, it happens.
